Another PCI DSS security audit passed by Portmone.com!

Interbank system for bill payments and delivery Portmone.com received another certificate to prove its compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).

It is the sixth certificate received by the company since 2008.

Portmone.com was the first in Ukraine to pass this certification.

As the largest Ukrainian payment service provider, Portmone.com undergoes certification for compliance with the highest PCI DSS Level 1.

This standard is mandatory for companies that service over 6 million transactions annually. The audit was conducted by a German company called Security Research and Consulting GmbH.

Portmone.com is a legal Ukrainian payment service provider for Visa and Mastercard, therefore security of online payments is a crucial area of our work.

PCI DSS standard that encompasses requirements of international payment systems to informational security was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council. The Council includes Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express and Discovery. We shall remind that PCI DSS requirements apply to banks, payment service providers, trading enterprises, technology providers, and other organizations that deal with processing, transmission and storage of data of payment card holders. The biggest emphasis was put on security of network infrastructure and protection of card holders’ information.
