Portmone.com online payment system has shared its financial figures for the year of 2014.

Corporate data prove that the turnover reached UAH 2.6 bln which is 53% more than in 2013 (UAH 1.7 bln). The trend in the number of transactions is quite similar – 2014 was 37% more successful than the previous year (26.5 mln and 19.3 mln transactions respectively).

Financial experts of Portmone.com also point out that the maximal number of transactions (2.9 mln) per month was registered in December.

A few new services were launched in 2014, the most popular of them being:

• Kindergarten payments
• Payment of driving tickets
• Automated payments for life:) subscribers

"2014 has become one of the most characteristic periods in the entire history of electronic services market", says Taras Volobuiev, Director for Development of Portmone.com.

He believes that subscribers started to use the new P2P payment service more actively increasing the total worth of wire transfers to 249 thsd. by the end of 2014 as compared to only 11 thsd. in 2013.

‘P2P payments make up a new value proposition In fact, they are becoming an equivalent of cash transfers in the electronic form and thus are easily integrated into everyday life. I believe they will become ubiquitous in the near future’, predicts Mr. Volobuiev.
